Calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to address increasing levels of hate crime in Scotland by providing security funding similar to that in place in England and Wales.

Summary

19 September 2019: The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government. It also agreed to write to the UK Government, Police Scotland and other relevant stakeholders. Official Report of Meeting 19 September 2019    

5 March 2020: The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the basis that the Scottish Government agrees with the action called for in the petition and has announced that a security fund is now in place. Link to Official Report of Meeting 5 March 2020

All places of worship should be safe..not just few.
