Annie Lennox addresses audience at Parliament

Singer and activist Annie Lennox visited the Scottish Parliament yesterday in her capacity as special envoy on Africa to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. 

  • Annie Lennox returned to the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday as part of Commonwealth Day events taking place on the day.

  • Ms Lennox addressed an audience in the Garden Lobby on the development of the UNAIDS targets, particularly in relation to preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV.

  • Ms Lennox was speaking in her capacity as Special Envoy of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Scotland branch.

 

Annie presented a video charting the four years of her SING campaign, which raises awareness of the plight of women and children with HIV and AIDS living in Africa.
