Committee visits Perthshire for renewables inquiry

Picture from Meall Dearg, looking at the construction site for the Griffin Wind Farm being constructed by Scottish and Southern Energy.The Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee is today carrying out a fact-finding visit in Perthshire as part of its inquiry into the Scottish Government's renewables targets.

During the visit, committee members will:

  • visit the Griffin windfarm, near Aberfeldy, for a guided tour provided by SSE
  • meet staff from Green Highland Renewables
  • visit hydropower developments in Glen Lyon
  • hold an open meeting for the local community to discuss views on local renewable energy developments
