The Education and Culture Committee today took evidence on the 'The Royal Charter - the implications for Scotland', looking at the future of press regulation in Scotland following the Leveson Inquiry.
Witnesses included Rt. Hon Lord McCluskey, pictured centre, the former High Court judge who chaired an expert group set up by the Scottish Government to recommend press regulation reforms in Scotland following the publication of the Leveson Report last year.
Also present were Campbell Deane, pictured right, a specialist in media law at Bannatyne Kirkwood France & Co., and David Sinclair, Head of Communications at Victim Support Scotland.
The committee is looking at the implications for Scotland of the royal charter which will create an independent press regulator in England and Wales.
Press regulation is devolved to the Scottish Parliament.
