Scottish Parliament Economy Committee inquiry: access to finance

At its meeting on Wednesday (20 November), the Scottish Parliament’s Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee will start a short inquiry on access to finance and alternative funding methods for businesses.

It plans to take further evidence on this issue at future meetings in December.

At its meeting this morning, the Committee will hear from—

• Colin Borland, Head of External Affairs, Federation of Small Businesses;

• Ian McCall, Head of Investment and Access to Finance Policy Unit, and Roddy Macdonald, Deputy Director, Innovation, Investment & Industries, Scottish Government;
• Kerry Sharp, Director, Scottish Investment Bank;
