She was called Remi. She was 1 year old when she was run over in a cul-de-sac. She was tossed on the garbage truck and taken to the dump. No one contacted us even though she was chipped. We didn't find out until much later what had happened to her.

It is simple common decency to help save the life of any animal. Not only would this bill save a cat's life, it could act as a deterrent for speeding and to make drivers more aware of what is going on around them. Please make this bill law. I picked up someone's cat a few months ago that had been sadly killed, but left in the road. Cats are not just animals....they are part of someone's family. If your pet is killed away from home you sometimes never get closure. Spare a thought, please.

Cats are peoples' much loved pets. They should be respected. People should drive carefully where there are dwellings as there could be cats crossing the road.

Cats are a huge part of family life, how can they be treated as anything less. A family grieve over loss just as much as they would for any family members

Woody, killed by driver, who did not stop. I just hope Woody was killed outright and not left for hours to die. He was wearing a prominent tag with our phone number and was microchipped. Just one quick phone call would have saved considerable sadness and misery.

When cats go missing it's such a worrying and heartbreaking time for owners, If this was passed then people would know what has happened to their fur babies.

My cat dizzy was killed on the road, car tooted at her causing her to panic, if driver had slowed down just a fraction she would have made it off the road, car didn't even stop. My dad and niece found her 2 minutes later, sadly too late to do anything. They are not just animals, like dogs they are our family so why is it ok to just drive off like they don't matter ?!
